URIS Workshop: Russia's War in Ukraine: Migration, Identity, and Belonging

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has provoked one of the biggest migration waves in Europe since the end of the Second World War. Millions of people were forced to leave their homes and seek shelters within Ukraine or outside it. During the workshop, outstanding social science and humanities scholars will examine various dimensions of this migration process, its stages and implications, everyday life, challenges, experiences, and identities of internally displaced persons and refugees and identity in the context of war.

Our URIS Fellow Marta Havryshko is organizing a workshop for this important topic on May 25, 2023 at the Department of History of the University of Basel.

Venue: Seminar room 4 (1. floor), Department of History, Hirschgässlein 21, 4051 Basel

Date: 25 May 2023, 14.00–17.30 (CET)

The event is free and open to the public. You can find the whole program in the flyer below!
